I use a combination of therapeutic modalities based on the clients individual needs.
My primary goal is to facilitate positive change that will improve your daily function and allow you to lead a more active and productive lifestyle.
Besides traditional massage therapy techniques including myofascial release, I use lymphatic drainage plus visceral, neural & vascular manipulation in treatment.
Lymphatic drainage therapy, the Dr. Bruno Chikly method, is a gentle manual technique that stimulates fluid circulation, cleanses the body tissues, enhances the immune system, and stimulates the parasympathetic system which helps to release tension and spasm.
This is a light, hands-on technique that stimulates the contraction of lymph vessels to remove excess water and protein. The end result is reduced swelling and congestion.
LDT helps with the rerouting of lymph flow post-surgery, including lymph node removal & radiation. It is effective for both chronic & acute swelling, presurgical & postsurgical conditions, sport-related injuries, chronic sinusitis, breast congestion, numbness and restricted movement due to scarring from the radiation, incision and infection.
If you have recently undergone surgery, suffered trauma or have been diagnosed with lymphedema, LDT is a very useful and effective treatment method.
With training from the Barral Institute I often use a combination of visceral, vascular & neural manipulation techniques to help alleviate the tension patterns that form throughout the fascial network in the body.
Tension patterns which is fascial tension within the connective tissue as a result of injury, surgical scarring, illness, infection, diet and posture, can result in physical effects far from the original source.
